Fressnapf is opening its German online shop to merchants and manufacturers who complement the range. Here you can see what Fressnapf asks for before admission and how items, stock and orders are connected to your system.
What the Fressnapf marketplace is
- Since June 2022, external merchants have been able to offer their products in the Fressnapf online shop. The marketplace runs on the Mirakl platform.
- At launch it was only available in the German online shop; Fressnapf named international expansion as a medium-term goal.
- Through the marketplace, Fressnapf wants to offer niche products alongside its core range. In the long term, marketplace items are also to be available via the ordering service in its stores.
- In May 2024, EQUIVA joined as a partner for equestrian sport, starting with over 2,500 products for horses and riders.

How access to the Fressnapf marketplace works
Interested merchants register via the contact form on the Fressnapf marketplace page. Fressnapf does not state public admission criteria there, but the form shows what matters:
- Whether you can deliver directly to end customers (B2C).
- Roughly how many item numbers (SKUs) you would like to offer and which range.
- Whether you have experience with other marketplaces.
- Whether you use a technical service provider for the integration with the Mirakl marketplace and, if not, whether you can provide EAN numbers.
- Which carrier you use and whether you can include a return label.

What Fressnapf costs
Fressnapf does not publish fees and commissions on the marketplace page. You clarify the conditions directly with Fressnapf. You pay these fees to Fressnapf; they are not part of X-Sitter MARKETS.
How items get onto fressnapf.de
Because the marketplace runs on Mirakl, items, offers, stock and orders are exchanged via the Mirakl interface. Fressnapf explicitly asks for EAN numbers in the form: without a unique GTIN per item and variant, a range can hardly be mapped properly.
- Map categories: map your product groups to the categories of the Fressnapf marketplace.
- Complete mandatory information: all attributes that the respective category requires, for food as well as for accessories.
- Check variants and images: sizes, flavours and colours as variants with their own EAN, images in the required quality.
- Synchronise continuously: stock and price from your system, orders and tracking numbers back.
Fressnapf and other channels from one data source
